ABOUT ME
PASSION FOR LEARNING
Neil D. Garguilo was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Fordham University with a major in history. He also took a teacher certification program during his studies and worked for two years in the NYC Public School System. However, his main work took place in the corporate world where he eventually became a manager for FedEx. Later in his career, he became the Corporate Training Manager at DCH Auto Group. Overall, he worked in several large corporations for about 23 years as a manager and a servant leader. In all of his positions, he enjoyed teaching employees to succeed.
He retired in 2019 and enjoys reading, exercise, travel and most importantly, writing. Currently, he is a board member on the Board of Education in beautiful Freehold Township, NJ and is dedicated to helping children learn the basics, so they can grow up to be outstanding citizens. He has three wonderful children and is happily married to his wife Denise.

MY GOALS
Back to Basics
PARENTAL KNOWLEDGE & CONSENT
Over the last 50 years, the Supreme Court has upheld the right of parents to be the primary teachers of their children. They have a "say" and consent in what their children are being taught. The government should never come between that right, namely, the parent and the child.

LEARNING WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS
I believe in academically teaching our children. I firmly support going Back to Basics and teaching them reading, writing, arithmetic, STEAM, physical education, and CIVICS. As for the latter, how can children know and love our country if they are not taught how great it is? My goal is to teach children "without the distractions" that are currently going on in this world. I have pushed for teaching our children "script" or writing and the importance of reading primarily through phonics. This way they can grow up and be upstanding citizens who lead the free world.
